CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN
In my classroom, rules will be presented using a positive tone. Rules will state expected and acceptable behavior. Rules will be posted and discussed at the beginning of each school year with each class.
Miss Zimmerman's Rules and Expectations
Be RESPECTFUL.
- "Treat others as you would like to be treated."
- Listen attentively when your teacher or classmates are speaking.
- Raise your hand, and wait to be called on.
- Enter the room quietly and ready to learn.
- Be polite and kind to others.
- Follow directions the first time.
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Be RESPONSIBLE.
- Come to class with all required materials.
- Treat classroom instruments and materials with care.
- Take responsibility for your actions.
- Think about the choices you area making when you speak or act.
Be READY to ...
- try new things!
- have new experiences!
- participate in all activities!
- sing, dance, chant, and play instruments!
- give your best effort!
- have FUN!
If a class follows all directions, they may receive a sticker on their chart. When ten stickers are earned, students may vote on a special treat for the end of class. For example, students may choose a favorite song, movement activity, or dance! Additionally, positive phone calls will be made home when a student is showing exceptional behavior! I believe that phone calls home should not only be for negative behavior issues. Positive behavior must be acknowledged and praised!
Consequences
Consequences for not following rules will be dealt with in the following manner:
1. Teacher proximity control.
2. Class reminder of appropriate behavior.
3. Warning for individual student.
4. Removal of student from activity or time-out in the back of the classroom.
5. Call home.
6. Meeting with parents/guardians.
